Overview

This 4-day fly-in gorilla safari is ideal for travelers who want a short but comfortable wildlife adventure without long road transfers. You’ll fly from Entebbe to the southwestern region of Uganda, where you’ll trek endangered mountain gorillas in the lush Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The trip is designed to balance convenience, adventure, and cultural immersion, with an optional visit to the indigenous Batwa community.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Uganda – Transfer to Hotel in Entebbe
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, a Kizan Safaris representative will meet and transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe for check-in. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at the hotel or explore the town at your own pace.

Day 2: Flight to Kisoro – Transfer to Bwindi Forest
After an early breakfast, you’ll be driven to Entebbe Airport for your scheduled domestic flight to Kisoro or Kihihi airstrip. On arrival, a guide will be waiting to transfer you through scenic highlands to your lodge near Bwindi. Spend the afternoon at leisure or enjoy a nature walk around the lodge.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Experience & Optional Batwa Visit
Today is the highlight of your safari. After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your trek through the dense forest in search of mountain gorillas. Once located, you’ll spend one unforgettable hour with these gentle giants. In the afternoon, you have the option of visiting a nearby Batwa community for a cultural encounter.

Day 4: Return to Entebbe – Departure
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast before being transferred back to the airstrip for your return flight to Entebbe. Upon arrival, you’ll be taken to the airport or your hotel, depending on your departure time. This marks the end of your safari with Kizan Safaris.
